The Texas Radio Hall of Fame has opened nominations for its 2026 induction class, marking the start of this year’s recognition cycle for broadcasters across the state. As a Lifetime Voting Member, this is the period when I review the voices, storytellers, and radio professionals who helped shape the sound and history of Texas broadcasting.
Nominations remain open through June 30. Once the submission window closes, the Review Committee will evaluate all candidates and advance up to 50 names to the final ballot. Voting members will then select the 20 individuals who will be inducted into the 2026 class.
This year introduces a new recognition category, Small Markets / Big Voices, created to honor professionals who built meaningful careers serving listeners in smaller and mid‑sized Texas communities.
The 2026 Induction Ceremony and Radio Reunion Weekend will take place November 7–8 at the Texas Broadcast Museum in Kilgore.
Honoring the people who shaped Texas radio is an important part of preserving its legacy, and I’m honored to continue contributing to the broadcasting community.
